There's something about the way he rips the runway, strikes a pose, and gives that confident, unfaltering stare. When J. Alexander, better known as "Miss J" walks into the room, everyone notices. Even the heightened exuberance of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week couldn't suppress the captivating demeanor and big personality of every one's darling America's Next Top Model judge and model coach.

At the close of Christian Siriano's show during Fashion Week, Miss J. gave me the skinny on Spring Ready-to-Wear, and what should be on every woman's radar this Spring.

What article of clothing should every woman have on hand for the Spring?
Clean underwear!

I know you've been a main fixture at all of the runway shows. What Spring trends have you noticed off the runway thus far?
There is a lot of milk white, a lot of layering. The styles are very airy, off-the shoulder, with lots of color.

Is there any particular show that you just adore?
I like what Christian did, I think he is moving forward. His stuff was very paired down, a little more tapered down.

What are some of your latest and current projects you're pursuing?
I have a book which is coming out on November 10th. It's called the Follow the Model: Miss J's Guide to Unleashing Presence, Poise and Power.

Can you please give us a short synopsis of it?
It's all about my life journey, from the South Bronx to Paris.

What should every fashionista have in her closet?
A good handbag and a good attitude.
